I am pleased to announce that I have had “Moon: Luna Moth” accepted in the 2010 Metro Montage Exhibition at the Marietta / Cobb Museum of Art in Marietta GA. The exhibition opens July 10 at 6:00 pm and closes September 11th.

As I market my artwork to potential clients I’ve found it helpful to create staging pictures that give people an idea of how paintings and reproductions would appear in an actual environment. I like to match the color scheme of the artwork to particular backgrounds that complement them as oppose to placing the images in random settings. As a new feature of my website, I’ve created a page just for these types of images. Click here to see more examples.

Horses are my “power animal” and my absolute favorite subject to paint. I tend to hold on to my horse paintings longer than any of my other subjects.

“Adagio” is a 5 foot x 3 foot oil painting of a gray Arabian stallion. My goal was to suggest the rhythm and movement of music in the horse’s mane, tail and body posture.

“Soleil” means “sun” in French and is an apt metaphor for the honey-toned hue of a palomino’s golden coat. “Soleil” is a 28″ x 30″ oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas with a faux gold vertical border.

I will have several framed prints and reproductions on display and available for sale at Cleveland City Hall between February 23 – 27. The show has been curated through the auspices of artist Gina Washington. There will be an artists reception February 23rd between 12:00 – 1:00.
